Dr Prasad Rajhans awarded the Dr.R.V.Wardekar award for “social service in scientific field” for the year 2000.This award is given by well known Kesari Mahratta Trust founded by Lokamanya Tilak in 1881,for acknowledging and encouraging an individual or an institute to continue their social work. This award was presented at the hands of Shri Jayantrao Tilak in presence of Shantabai Shelke at Shivaji Mandir Pune

The American Heart Association conducted its first course on Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Four doctors from Pune trained as instructors to conduct this course on behalf of AHA.

More than 15 doctors trained at Symbiosis and Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital Pune appointed as Advanced Clinical Educators [ACES] at EMRI. These doctors contributed for the conduct of thePost Graduate Program in Emergency Care [PGPEC] program and other training activities at EMRI. More than 20 doctors trained by Pune EMS, worked with EMRI in different states, in different capacities and contributed significantly for national EMS.

Michael Murrow- International Training Consultant ECC- AHA visited SIHS as ITC for inspection. Agreement between AHA & SIHS was renewed further for a period of three years. SIHS received rating – 1 (95- 100%), Assessment provided evidence of excellent compliance.

Disaster Management and Assistance Team [DMAT] from Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital carries out relief work in the flood affected township of Banki of Orissa. A 13 member team led by Dr Rajhans carries out relief work in 18 villages of Orissa.

Guidelines 2009 conference conducted at Pune by Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital for creating awareness about guidelines in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine. Mr V Parthasarathy awarded the “Star of Life Award” for his commitment to EMS beyond the call of duty. He was injured by the secondary bomb explosion at the civil hospital while helping victims of the Ahmadabad bomb blasts.

Advanced Trauma Life Support [ATLS] launched at Pune. Symbiosis is the first site in Maharashtra to be recognised by ATLS and conducts the first ATLS program.

Mr H R Gaikwad, CMD and Mr Umesh Mane, VC and Joint MD of Bharat Vikas Group [BVG] invite Dr Prasad Rajhans as a Consultant in EMS for setting up the Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services [MEMS ] project.
August 2012 to January 2014
Dr Prasad Rajhans along with Dr Dnyaneshwar Shelke , Dr Rajesh Ursekar, Dr Saket Tilekar start the work for launching of the MEMS project.
Many more doctors trained by Dr Rajhans join the project as Zonal Managers, District Managers, Trainers. All these doctors have the passion to create a good EMS for people of Maharashtra and they work day and night with BVG and Government of Maharashtra to prepare for the launch. Dr Dnyaneshwar Shelke who has been mentored by Dr. Rajhans since 2002 is appointed as the COO for the MEMS project. Symbiosis is the training partner for MEMS project Symbiosis has trained more than 5000 for MEMS project and 2000 in BLS and ACLS of AHA .
